The CMC is focused on the importance of science-driven cooperative engagement to enhance international peace and security. We have a distinguished speaker series that began in May of this year to celebrate the CMC’s 25th anniversary and to support the future of scientific collaboration throughout the 21st century.
Our previous speakers, Assistant Secretary of State Dr. Chris Ford and former NATO Deputy Secretary Rose Gottemoeller, spoke about their own experiences with scientific cooperation in the national security arena. Dr. Brent Park has discussed his role leading NNSA’s efforts and engagements to prevent nuclear weapons proliferation and to reduce the threat of nuclear and radiological terrorism around the world.
